Is this feature available on iOS supported device?
No, this is only available for android smartphones
Where can we setup this feature?
Update your JazzCash app and look for the contactless symbol on the home screen, simply tap on the icon and follow on screen instructions to set up Tap Pay
What are prerequisites to process the payment using the feature?
The NFC must be turned on with JazzCash app selected as default payment method. Device lock must be authenticated to process the payment.
What is the authentication method for transaction security?
Payment can only be processed if the phone’s lock is set, and the device is unlocked at the time of tapping to the POS device
Where can I review the transaction history?
The transactions done through Tap Pay can be reviewed in the transaction history of the feature
Can I remove this feature from the device?
Yes, the feature can be removed from the device using the JazzCash App
What if I haven’t set up a lock mechanism on my phone?
In such case the payment will not be processed. The app will also not allow to setup Tap Pay as a service as well.
Will this feature work if NFC is turned off?
No, this feature will not work if NFC of the device is turned off
Where can Tap Pay be used?
It can be used at any place where contactless payments are accepted. Restaurants, shops, fuel stations etc
How will I know my transaction is processed successfully?
The status can be reviewed on the POS machine. Realtime SMS will also be received confirming the payment
Is this feature available for international usage?
No, this feature is not currently supported for international transactions
What are the transactional limits of Tap Pay?
Daily transactional limit is PKR 50K
What are the charges for Tap Pay?
Only one time PKR 100 will be charged for setting up Tap Pay
Will this service expire?
No, this service will not expire unless removed from the device by the user
Are my payments secure?
Yes, the payments are secured with state-of-the-art technology used in partnership with Mastercard.
Which android version is supported?
Tap pay can be activated on any android device supporting android 6+
Amount is deducted from my account but declined at the terminal.
In such case the amount will be reversed to your account in 5-7 working days.
